How To Type in Chinese On Your PC (Windows)

Let's say you want to type in Chinese (or any other character-based language)

To type text on your computer in character-based languages, such as Chinese, follow these steps:

   1. Add the language as an input language.
   2. Change your input language to the language you installed.
   3. Change your keyboard layout to the desired layout

In Windows 7 just follow these steps:
Control Panel - Clock, Language, and Region - Region and Language - Keyboards and Languages - Change keyboards... - click "Add" - "Chinese (Simplified) - Microsoft Pinyin New Experience Input St"

As you can see in the video, you type the text in pinyin and then you can choose between the characters you need.
